Grants program
The Premier's Water Foundation rounds 1 and 2 provided grants for work where research and development gaps have been identified in the State Water Strategy.
The grants gave priority to projects that responded to primary areas of water innovation through education and implementation of research outcomes. The areas were:
- methods and technologies to support water conservation and efficiency in all water use sectors
- innovation in treated wastewater and stormwater reuse, including greywater in urban environments, large scale reuse projects, artificial aquifer recharge
- investigation of the changing nature of ground and surface water resources in relation to climate change and variability.
Two rounds of funding were announced in 2004 and 2005.
