Statewide Policy No. 01 - Policy and Guidelines for Construction and Silica Sand Mining in Public Drinking Water Source Areas Document Size: 107073 bytes Publish Date: 01-NOV-1999 04:51 PM The objective of this policy is to protect water quality and quantity within Public Drinking Water Source Areas from the adverse impacts of sand mining operations, and ensure that all sites are rehabilitated to an acceptable standard. This policy applies to all construction and silica sand mining operations within Public Drinking Water Source Areas.

It also identifies important linkages to the State's statutory framework.

It details the responsibility, actions and information to be provided by landowners accessing the watercourse, if a dispute arises.
Statewide Policy No. 13 - Policy and Guidelines for Recreation within Public Drinking Water Source Areas on Crown Land Document Size: 332577 bytes Publish Date: 01-NOV-2003 04:58 PM The primary aim of this policy document is to protect the ‘drinking water’ environmental value of PDWSAs on Crown land, in the interest of public health. This will be achieved by protecting drinking water sources from contamination that may be caused by inappropriate recreational activities. It is also expected that other values (e.g. aquatic ecosystems) will be afforded some protection through this policy.
Statewide policy no 16 - Policy on water conservation/efficiency plans Document Size: 155821 bytes Publish Date: 10-JUL-2008 10:29 AM This statewide policy relates to the government's water efficiency initiatives. The plans are linked to the government’s State water strategy key direction for water efficiency, which recommended that these plans be prepared by water users as part of the water licensing process.
Statewide Policy No. 19 - Hydrogeological reporting associated with a Groundwater Well Licence Document Size: 157388 bytes Publish Date: 02-MAY-2007 03:31 PM This policy provides guidance on when Hydrogeological Assessments and groundwater monitoring reports (collectively referred to as hydrogeological reports) will be required, and the information that they should contain. It replaces the current guidelines for hydrogeological reports and groundwater monitoring reports associated with a Groundwater Well Licence (Water and Rivers Commission, May 1998).
