The aim of this study was to document the fish and freshwater crayfish in the Yarragadee discharge area of the main Blackwood channel and in those tributaries that receive discharge from the Yarragadee aquifer, and compare the results with those areas outside the Yarragadee discharge zone. The study was conducted during the summer low-flow period with the aim of identifying potential impacts of reductions in groundwater baseflow on the in-stream fauna during this period.
